I like the direction you're going with these, but I'd say to focus more on Rule 3 Speak with one visual voice. You've got a few different styles going here. The last one is still a little anatomy book-ish, like Andrea was saying in class the other day. I think you've got a good idea it just needs to be brought together a little more for it to be a series.
Laura these are beautiful and I really like the changes you have made sense our last critique! The only rule that I would say you could improve on is the one-two punch in the very bottom design. Sometimes when I look at it i see the image in the middle first and other times i look at the title and green bar across the lower part of the page.
Something that i just noticed was the type alignment, is there a reason it is not justified? I feel that your books are very clean and then there are the paragraphs which are very rugged like.
